THE Moral of the Story

The school was empty, the students and faculty having left hours before. The librarian wandered the halls alone, searching the halls intently for her missing phone. If it were a means of communication for emergencies only, she'd have left without it. It would probably find it's own way to the lost and found bin in her library.

But this phone had everything on it, including an application whose sole purpose was to store usernames and passwords for every program she used. Her electronic checkbook program was on this phone. Anyone opening those particular files would have access to all of her personal information. Not to mention all the other things on her phone she couldn't allow to get out. She was a respectable librarian for Pete's sake! As she rounded a corner she ran into the school's only janitor.

"Oh, excuse me, Wesley. I wasn't watching where I was going, so sorry."

"That's OK. Hey, I'm glad I ran into you Miss Stacey. I found this phone while cleaning the bathroom. I'm done with the library and since it's on the other side of the school, would you mind just taking it there with you tomorrow?"

She grabbed the phone from his hands and clutched it to her chest. "Thank God! Thanks so much Wesley!" As she was walking away she looked over her shoulder at a bemused Wesley and added, "Have a good evening!"

Whistling as he finished his work for the evening, Wesley contemplated what he might do with what he found today.
